about

Records often fall into one of two categories: a collection of disparate songs, or a singular sound and journey. Ronan Delisle's debut release as a leader offers us the best of both ... multiple voices, all with a new tale to tell, together. You won't need a map, but do read Ronan's liner notes, which only enhance the experience.

We start in a homey (heimish) place, something we can all appreciate with the terrors of our recent terrible time. As the album progresses, it becomes clear that something more is afoot. By the mid-point of the adventure, we have a look/listen around, and sure enough, we've left home. And then, as it turns out, the road back -- as is so often the case -- takes us to even more new and surprising places.

Ronan shares this music with us as composer, guitarist, and storyteller. Enjoy the journey.
